Diocesan 40 Hours of Eucharistic Adoration

"Come adore this Wondrous Presence"

Diocesan 40 Hours of Eucharistic Adoration

To celebrate the Solemnity of Christ the King, faithful from across the Diocese will unite together in prayer during 40 Hours Adoration in the Cathedral, beginning with Mass at 7:30 pm on Friday, 21st November and concluding with Solemn Vespers and Benediction at 4 pm on Sunday 23rd November.

As part of the 40 Hours Devotion, Confessions will be heard in the Cathedral continually from 12 noon to 12 midnight on Saturday 22nd November.

While each parish of the diocese will be assigned to a particular hour of adoration, people are in no way restricted to their parish’s hour. It is hoped that people from the Diocese will come to the Cathedral during this time to pray.

On Sunday, 23rd November, a diocesan team prepares to welcome young people from across the Diocese as they participate in the Christ the King Youth Festival, 11.15am - 5pm in Mullingar Community Centre and the Cathedral of Christ the King.

What to Expect:
Mass in the beautiful Cathedral of Christ the King
Faith talk by special guest Bishop Alan McGuckian
Fun games and activities
Opportunities to meet new friends who share your faith
Eucharistic Adoration and time for personal prayer
Closing Sung Vespers to end the day in prayer and thanksgiving
