Diocese Celebrates Pope John Paul II Awards

On Saturday the 11th of November in the Cathedral of Christ the King, Mullingar, Bishop Tom Deenihan, Bishop of Meath presented awards to a number of second level students who had taken part in the Pope John Paul II awards within the Diocese. The award is facilitated in the Diocese of Meath by Mr. Sean Wright and seeks to enable students to explore and deepen their faith through involvement in spiritual and social activities in their parish, school and the wider community. Students who received awards represented schools and parishes from Mullingar, Kells and Trim. After the ceremony Bishop Tom met with students and their families to congratulate them on their efforts.

The photos shows Bishop Tom with students from the Diocese, Mr Sean Wright, Diocesan Director for the Awards and Br PJ Finn, Deputy Supreme of the Knights of St. Columbanus who support the awards in the Diocese.
