Meath Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes

Unite with Diocesan Pilgrims in Prayer

Meath Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes

The Diocesan Pilgrimage travels to Lourdes on Monday 12 September led by Bishop Deenihan. The Diocese returns to Lourdes after an absence of two years. It is a time to remember all who have suffered and those who have died during the pandemic. In gratitude, we remember the health care workers and those who helped and cared for us during those difficult days.

In Lourdes our Blessed Lady appeared to St. Bernadette 18 times and she gave this message:
“Go and tell the priests to build a chapel here and that people should come in procession”.
It is in answer to this request of Our Lady that pilgrims go to Lourdes. It is a place of grace and healing and nobody returns home without receiving something special. During the Pilgrimage there will be prayers said and Masses offered for the people of the diocese. It is an opportunity for the people of the diocese to unite in prayer and a time of blessing. The opening Mass for the pilgrimage will be celebrated at the Grotto on Tuesday Sept. 13th at 7.30am (Irish time) and will be available on https://www.lourdes-france.org/en/tv-lourdes

Prayer resources are available in 'Pastoral Resources'on www.dioceseofmeath.ie/advent-resources
